Transitions Orientation Winter 2012

Twice a year, once in the Fall Term and once in the Winter term, the UAlberta International Office hosts a special orientation for all new international students attending the University of Alberta. The Transitions Orientation program is designed to introduce international students to the University of Alberta, Edmonton and Canada. Some of the highlights of the Transitions Orientation Program include presentations and information about immigration regulations and achieving academic success and meeting professor expectations, a Winter Fashion Show, food, and tours of campus, downtown Edmonton, libraries, and campus recreation facilities. There is also presentations about living day to day in Canada and even mobile phone assistance. It is an amazing and fun opportunity for students who are coming from other countries to the University of Alberta and it’s just one of the many ways the University makes sure that its international students feel right at home at UAlberta!
