While attending UAlberta you get the chance to explore Edmonton, Western Canada and even the rest of the world!
UAlberta is a highly recognized and respected institution, which has partnerships with postsecondary schools and programs all over the world. There are various opportunities that students have access to, such as internships, exchange programs and more!
Here are a few of the options available to UAlberta students:
Cortona, Italy - UAlberta campus abroad
Here you can take UAlberta classes, gain UAlberta credits and live in Italy! This partnering campus is located in Cortona, a small but picturesque village in the Tuscany area of Italy. The UAlberta student residences are housed in a 16th century building that was once a monastery and students can take courses such as art history, comparative economics, politics, Italian and more!
E3 Summer Programs
The University of Alberta’s e3 program is a unique program offering UAlberta students the opportunity to study a foreign language, gain international work experience and complete academic coursework, all through one summer program.
Students who qualify for the program can choose from three diverse locations: Berlin, Germany; Curitiba, Brazil or Washington, DC, USA. Each location takes advantage of the local history, culture, and industry to combine academics with practical work experience.
One of the great things about UAlberta is the location! Not only is Edmonton a beautiful city, but the Rocky Mountains are only a few hours away. Starting this year (2016) a new course called Mountains 101 will be available. Students can take various courses about mountains in the actual locations themselves! The lessons are hosted from spectacular outdoor sites, as well as in museums and labs.
The University of Alberta offers more than 300 programs abroad in over 40 countries around the world. Through these programs you can study in one of 40 different countries, while earning credits towards your UAlberta degree. You can study over 4-8 month periods in places like Sydney, Tokyo, London and more!
